Import a list of your customers, and then find and append more data

A successful marketing campaign is dependent upon knowing who to target and delivering a message that resonates with your audience. Versium REACH Consumer Contact Append adds postal addresses, email addresses and phone number, to your customer and prospects list. Versium REACH enables multichannel marketing campaigns and gives you insights to improve the targeting of your email marketing programs.

What's in a Consumer Contact Append?

Consumer Contact Append will allow you to select the following types of data to be added to your records:

  • postal address
  • email address
  • phone number

Get Your Input List Ready

Contact Append allows you to append Postal Address, Email Address and Phone Numbers to your original uploaded list. For Versium REACH to search and find the correct record, your input list needs to include any of the following combinations of inputs:

  • Email Address
  • Phone
  • Postal Address, City, State, ZIP
  • First Name, Last Name, City, State
  • First Name, Last Name, ZIP

Create a Consumer Contact Append

  1. From Home, select Contact Append or Contact Append Plus.

Note: Consumer Contact Append Plus will allow you to select the type of phone number to append (Best, Multiple or Mobile only).

  1. On the Import List step, select a .csv file to upload, click Use an existing list to select a list from a project, or click Import from HubSpot and choose a list (if you've connected your HubSpot account) and click Next Step.
  2. If prompted, Map the inputs in your list to Versium REACH inputs. Select the down arrow to map your list columns to the appropriate Versium input. When you're done, click Next Step.

  1. Select the Match Type:
  • Household Level Match - to append data that matches only to the Last name provided as Input, as well as the phone, email or postal address that was provided. In situations where no name is provided, we match to the Input provided (email, phone or postal address). These are also considered a household level match.
  • Individual Level Match - to append a record from our database that matched the First & Last name provided as Inputs, as well as the phone, email or postal address that was provided.

Then select the type of data/attributes you would like to append: Postal Address, Email Address or Phone Numbers.

  • When selecting Email Address, you will now have a choice to Include All Email or Exclude Yahoo/AOL Emails. This last will allow you to have a higher email deliverability rate for your campaign but will return a lower match rate for your list.

Note: Consumer Contact Append Plus will allow you to select the type of phone number to append (Best, Multiple or Mobile only).

The Estimated Match report will provide you with real time estimates on the output of your appended file.
Click Next Step after you made your selection.

  1. Create or choose a project for your list, and click Create.
    Versium REACH will start creating your appended list. You can leave this screen and come back later when your insights are complete to see List Insights and export your audience.

  1. To export your audience or see List Insights, go to the project you saved it in, and select the audience list. Open the action menu to export the audience as a .csv or click Export Your New List.

What can you do with a Consumer Contact Append?

After completing the Consumer Contact Append, your appended list can be use directly for your needs.

  • Direct email campaigns: Make sure you're following Direct Email Best Practices.
  • Phone outreach: Reach does not scrub phone numbers against the Do Not Call Registry or any State Phone Suppression files and DMA Phone Suppression files list. It is the customer's responsibility to comply with all federal and states laws and only make calls for purposes permitted by law. For more information about the National Do Not Call Registry, please see: https://www.donotcall.gov

If you wish, you can use Versium REACH to perform a Consumer Demographic Append for additional attributes or a Consumer Online Audience to be used on social platforms (such as HubSpot, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google).
